Oranges

Hmmmm...this fork thingy is kind of tricky...
Let's try the good old fashined meat hooks!
...but the fork thingy is kind of cool when it works...
Check it out! I got it! Hooray for me!

Ducks

Today was a pretty nice day... So we went to the store and bought some birdseed and headed down to the duck ponds at Beacon Hill Park.
One of Ethan's new words is birdy - "bee dee" or "dee" - he loves to spot them flying in the sky.
But at Beacon Hill the birds (ducks) seemed magical to Ethan because you throw some seeds on the ground and they come running to you! Until you decide you need to touch/catch one.
There was even a squirrel that ate out of Daddy's hand! I couldn't get close and steady enough to get a picture because I was holding on to the leash of crazy Cooper. So you'll have to take our word on it. Then it was time to go to the car because Cooper was getting rabid being patient around all of the tasty chase-able animals.
Ethan may look I little more like me right now - but he is really a clone of his Daddy. Aren't they cute!

Mop Top Hair Shop

"Hey, that funny guy in the cape is missing his hair!"
"What do you mean, I have to sit there next?!"
Yes, sad but true. The precious golden locks were getting out of control...and in his eyes... and tangled...and saving leftovers...
Time for them to go! Don't be sad.
Ethan was a very good boy. Cooperative and brave and even curious enough to try to grab on to the really sharp scissors. He needed a little distracting with toys and his sippy cup to keep him still - but over all the event was much easier than I thought it might be.
And now he looks like such a handsome little boy!

16 Months Old

I'm writing this after putting you to bed. After bath time tonight, we let you have some naked time before putting on pyjamas as usual - and you love it!

You run full tilt around the house laughing and slapping your belly like a drum with both hands. You look like a maniac. WE.LOVE.IT!
It is really hard to pin point how you have changed again from last month - I guess I can say that you move a bit quicker and understand a lot more and try to say and do more things that you ever could.
You love to pretend to fix thinks and to cook things. You watch everything we do very carefully and then try it out for yourself. A few days ago after coming in the house from grocery shopping, you picked up my keys and tried to reach the lock, twisting your chubby little wrist back and forth.
You are still so busy and curious - and really, such a BOY boy. You keep us busy - but in return you are so entertaining. Days just fly by - even faster then they did before. The months are becoming a blur and now when I look at you I see a little person instead of a baby. Everyone said it would happen...

Its hard to explain how much we love you.

You are just super-fantastic.

Love Mama XOXOX
